We prune fruit trees. We don’t do landscaping, we don’t do irrigation. We don’t even normally do the fertilizing (although I suppose we could…). But pruning is our specialty.
Pruning and cuttings removal
$55/hour + $30 tippage fee
We prune and we dispose of the cuttings offsite. (The hourly rate applies to both the pruning and the time to transport the cuttings.)
Pruning only
$55/hour
We prune the trees and organize the cuttings nicely for you to deal with.
Pruning lesson
$65/hour
Pruning as we go, we empower you to prune your own trees in the future.
The curriculum for the 1-hr version includes
- Basics of fruit production
- Introduction to specific trees
- Timing your pruning sessions
- Where, why, and how of each cut
The curriculum for the 2-hr version adds
- Specific cut-by-cut feedback
- Multi-year planning
- Working with more tools
- Thinning fruit
- Grafting (if time permits)
Staking and training
$55/hour + materials (cost+15%)
Young trees and trees on dwarf rootstock may require staking.
Many trees benefit from training their branches. We can do this for you.
